“Maki” Japanese Restaurant in London, 1 March 2011

“Maki”, a Japanese restaurant in Richmond, London was designed by Steve Howie Design and Build.

To finalise the design, Koshu was asked to create several pieces of artwork. For this project, she created five panels, one of which read “Wa” / “Harmony”, and four others, each of which read a poem of a season. In addition to this, she painted the walls of the bathrooms with a Japanese figure in Kimono, accompanied by cherry blossom and bamboo.
